I must say that I learned a lot from reading this book; it's almost like a survival manual for the wilderness.
I loved every page, every word of this book.
These books do not help to diminish my obsession and love for this saga; on the contrary, they only increase it.
I have never read a book so quickly; I think it is the fastest I have ever read a book in my life. I really enjoyed it, the characters are very likeable and it is very easy to read, which I appreciated a lot as I am a slow reader. Maybe I read it quickly because I already knew what was going to happen as I had seen the films, I don't know.
You really lose yourself in the world of Panem through Katniss's eyes and thoughts; many times in part two, “The Hunger Games”, I felt like I was there in the woods, in the arena with her.
I didn't think about it when watching the films, but reading the book, I see myself in Katniss in some ways: being the eldest child, the older sister of a little sister, the man of the house, her irritation, anger and stubbornness, her tenacity and even her discomfort at seeing someone naked, haha.
I also enjoyed reading the things they left out of the film, but I have to say that, all in all, The Hunger Games is one of the best book adaptations ever.
