Devil's Daughter by Lisa Kleypas

I absolutely LOVED this book!

West is such a changed man from how he started a few books ago! He's entirely dependable, a hard worker, and humble with a dry wit that I adore.

Phoebe is a young widow and she is just lovely; so caring and tender and the relationship with her twos boys is very real and tender. West sees this and it touches him, yet at the same time, when he is playing with Phoebe's two young boys, she sees how tender and wonderful he is with them. It's a win-win situation, or is it? Because West has some hang-ups that he needs to get through/over. I loved how Phoebe knew she would never be happy with anyone but West and she was just not giving up!

There were two reasons I knocked it down an entire star. The very abrupt ending and no epilogue!! This story most definitely needed some loose endings that were important, tidied up!
