The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake

5.0

This book was my biggest surprise so far this year. I knew it sounded like something I would enjoy, but I had no idea it would become my favourite read of the year so far.

The Atlas Six is a dark academia fantasy that focuses on the characters and their dynamics. I loved learning about these well crafted characters and the nuances of their actions. We are introduced to a very diverse cast, from different walks of life and with different goals. My favourite part of this reading adventure was watching the relationships shift between the chosen.

Another thing I personally liked was learning about the different philosophical concepts with the group. Being able to join the thought experiments as their studies advanced made me feel like the 7th member. The book follows all six characters. Each chapter is a POV from one of them, letting us view the world through them and learn about their backstory and motivations. They all have a different reason for wanting to join the society. But how far are they willing to go to get what they want?
