The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair
by Joël Dicker
An international best seller, getting rave reviews, this is a story of a young writer investigating a murder which took place three decades ago, of which his mentor is accused of committing. It takes place in New Hampshire and the tone is slightly off, as if the writer (who is Swiss) is describing an America he doesn't seem to know first hand.
The writing seems fairly cliched and the characters are one dimensional. But I was interested in it enough to finish.
