Split Second by Kasie West

Oh, Kasie West. You're one tiny step away from a place on my favorite authors list. It's not even a step, more like the barely noticeable space between a foot and the ground, closing.
I just need to read [b:The Distance Between Us|15283043|The Distance Between Us|Kasie West|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1358144875s/15283043.jpg|20938637] and if I like that one, we're good. Then you're one of my favorite people.

What is there to say that hasn't already been mentioned in my (if you can even call it one) review of the first book?

I simply love West's novels. And I can say that after only reading two of them. They make me wanna shove away all the other paranormal novels with their werewolves and vampires (it's getting old by now), point towards Kasie West and yell ''Hey, this woman can show you how to write a good book!''
This is an excellent sequel that I found to be slightly better than its predecessor. No big differences, but it's simply a bit funnier, a little cuter, has more character development and is overall more entertaining.
I related so much to both Addie and Laila. The author does a great job with capturing a teenager's voice and not making it sound annoying.
A step up from Pivot Point.
