kboston99 's review for:
That Kind of Guy
by Stephanie Archer
lighthearted
fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
Complicated
Loveable characters:
No
Diverse cast of characters:
Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
This book was an odd one because I struggled to pic it back up.
I struggled to like the characters, there was no tension between the two mc’s, the smut scenes were repetitive and the dialog in them felt awkward when it’s not the writers aim.
A lot of jumping I felt was happening and I was throwing me off.
Not the worst book I’ve read but could have been better for a quick read (although it took me 2 weeks to read🫣)
Also I marked the diversity as it’s complicated because there wasn’t much character descriptions on a lot of characters, their names were giving diverse but the lack of descriptions lead to you telling the author if it was diverse or not.
Also forgot to mention that the ‘problem’ part of the book was over in a page or 2 and happened and was fixed in the same day and also added to the lack of emotion coming from this book and also the lack of tension
