I read this in 2016 by randomly picking it off the shelf in Barnes and Noble. The cover attracted me, I read this during a very hot, unforgettable and sad summer (well for me) and I finished it in on my break while I worked at IN-N-OUT and anyone who passed me by was like “u good?” I’m like yeah I just read a beautiful, dark story with a setting that I dream about and it’s just one of those stories that stays in your engraved in your brain depending on where you’re at or what’s going on in your life.
