A Friend in the Dark by Samantha M. Bailey

4.0

Edens daughter heads off to college and she is worried how she will adjust to her empty nest.  When her husband announces he wants a divorce, she is completely shocked. Alone and desperate, she starts to ask “what if” and eventually reaches into her past. This leads to a suspenseful thriller, a quick read that found me wishing the characters would just listen to me. This one is written by a Canadian author who does a great job with this genre. Family drama, betrayal and secrets run deep.
