Conflicted
by Lark Taylor
When you’re fated to be with the enemy, so you rim him and woo him (and unalive for him) until he falls for you.
OK, I’m the first to admit that I was not actually excited about this one because Micah was such a dick in previous books. I really didn’t know if even the great Lark Taylor could get me to like him and once again I was 100% wrong. Lark Taylor is our queen and I should never have doubted her.
I fell for these characters so hard. They might be up there with Ferry and Leo for favorite couple. I loved the premise of this story. I loved the gradual falling in love. I loved the (not so gradual) spice. I loved absolutely everything about it. Although I will say it made me hate bureaucracy more than I already did, which I did not think was possible. I cannot wait for future books so that we can see a certain antagonist meet the bloody end they so richly deserve.
A five star book. Highly recommend.
Like all Lark Taylor books in this universe, you technically could read it by itself because it’s book one of a new series but I would highly suggest you start way back at the beginning with the Reckless Damned series and follow that up with Damned Connections before starting this one.
