I love when a series could easily be stand-alone, but there are references to the other books if you pay attention. This one follows Marie, a Sweedish plus-size actress, and Peter, an American plus-size actor. It was nice to have a bit of male representation around size. They end up on an island off the coast of Ireland together for a multi-year acting job. The story follows the development of their friendship during filming, and then their romance after the filming wraps up. The spice scenes were good. It was excellent that not a lot of references to their bodies were made beyond points that were relevant to the plot. I feel like this author likes 3rd act breakups (having read all 3 in the series within the last 6 months or so). There were many places where the story could have ended, but she didn't end it because they hadn't broken up yet. I don't think it was really truly necessary to break them up at all.
Graphic: Body shaming
