I have so many thoughts swimming in my head about this story. I loved that it seemed to be a book about many topics - life under occupation, romance, parenthood, estranged families, finding meaning in art, and more - but rather than feeling jumbled or pulled in too many directions, the themes flowed together through Sonia’s story. bonus points for the phenomenal audiobook narrator.
