Of Ash and Iron by Eliza Raine

5.0

This is the stunning conclusion to Eliza Raine's Flame Cursed Fae series, and it does not disappoint. The book is fast-paced and features adventure, magic, and family betrayal. The character growth is on point, and the relationship (Whew, it's hot) is hot.

This book takes place at the Featherblade School for Valkyries. Maddy is training to be a Valkyrie warrior, and Kain is a cursed Fae prince who loves her deeply. Kain gives strong "touch her and die" moments in this book. Maddy gets stronger and stands up for herself repeatedly throughout the book. She grows into a strong woman who doesn't need a man but gets one anyway.

There were a couple of minor typos, but overall, it was well worth the read. Eliza Raine is one of my favorite authors. She writes really strong characters, and her wording draws me into the story.

Read this book series if you want a fae romance, a strong FMC, diverse characters, unexpected villains, and drama.

"Princess, I've been fighting falling in love with you since the week you got here."
"Did you win?"
"It's the only fight I've ever lost."
