Mind-blowing.

It’s not perfect, but it certainly gives you a lot to think about.

I found it a bit scary how people described the merging of the soul with the body as “occupying” an existing person that already has a personality. As if our body is already someone and a soul takes it. It reminds me of Venom 😟 or being possessed or smthg.

Anyway, this is not fact. It’s not proven. But it’s impressive how so many people talked about the same things.

What’s lacking to be a proper study:

  • Data - how many patients were analysed? Is the sample big enough to make these claims? How many of them were religious? How many atheists? How many from Texas? Numbers numbers. We are give no numbers apart from the 20 something case studies. And 20 is not a big enough sample to be statistically relevant at all.
  • Controls - method to rule out prior conditioning. To verify the patients didn’t hear about these recollections from looking into the hypnotherapist’s work. To verify they weren’t making things up to suit a desired reality or need. It’s true he says in the book they are not making it up, but you have to test it to be scientifically accurate.
  • Protocol - follow the same protocol and for each patient to guarantee comparability.

Other things lacking:

  • Should have asked what’s the ultimate goal. Why are we striving for complete soul betterment? To be enlightened, okay, but what do souls do when enlightened? What happens when all souls are enlightened? Someone said all souls were like in a train going on a flat track. The source is the engine. But where is the train heading?
  • Do people remember everything they saw after coming out of hypnosis? If so, that must alter their lives completely. Imagine seeing all of that and remembering. So, do they remember or not? If not, what do they remember then?
  • Not lacking but incongruent Aura Colors. First dr. Michael mentions one set of colors and in a later chapter the colors are different
