An Incurable Case of Love, Vol. 1 by Maki Enjōji

4.0

After Nanase Sakura witnesses a handsome and charming young doctor save a stranger’s life, she decides that she wants to become a nurse! Her intent is to hopefully meet this doctor one day and thank him for the motivation to pursue such a lofty goal (and possibly something more…)

But, when Sakura actually does meet Dr. Kairi Tendo in person, she realizes he isn’t anything at like that charming man she met five years ago! He’s quite grumpy, unmoved, and unamused by her attempts to gain his attention. Despite her disillusionment though, Sakura finds Tendo to be a capable and diligent doctor who is always kind and caring with his patients. She believes she could learn a lot from this man.

What will become of these two? Will Sakura convince Tendo that she more capable than she seems? Will Tendo surprise Sakura with his concern for her success as a healthcare professional?

So far, this is a fairly entertaining manga with some lovable main characters. It’s not a hard-hitting, super compelling story —- but, that’s also not the point of this one. It’s supposed to be fun and a little melodramatic. Personally, I find it charming and certainly amusing at parts.

I’d definitely recommend this one to someone who likes medical dramas and wants a light love story~
