oh my god, I fucking HATED this book. if anyone tells you they enjoyed it fucking run. i don't care if it's a metaphor for society or whatever. this is the most disgusting, most uninteresting book i have ever read in my entire life. essentially 300 pages of a man complaining about his life, mostly through flashbacks which are far more detailed than they need to be and add absolutely nothing to the story. there were some completely vile scenes that had zero point, like when your book has more than one dog sex scene i think you're the problem idk tho
