Okay first off, why did nobody tell how freaking good this book is! I’m honestly so glad I waited until now to read, as now I won’t have long to wait to read the next one!

Nyra is the “lost” princess. She’s been hiding in the streets of her village since running away from her father, the king. When she gets caught by the palace guards for stealing, all hope seems lost until Dacre unwillingly recuses her. 

Dacre is the son of the Rebellion’s leader. He’s on a mission to rescue his sister, who’s being held prisoner at the palace. Upon recusing her, she also makes him rescue Nyra, who she’s become friends with. 

This starts off an epic story for Nyra and Dacre. Neither trust each other, he knows she’s hiding something but she’ll never reveal her real identity. 

While they don’t trust or like each other, they have major chemistry and neither can really stay away from each other. Especially when Dacre decides to start training her personally. 

My god I loved this so much! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, just wondering if/when he would discover her secret! And OMG the spice! While there wasn’t a lot, what we got was delicious! I want more!

I won’t give anything else away but if you love romantasy, who hurt you/touch her and die vibes and proper enemies to lovers, then definitely read this book! 

And thankfully the ending wasn’t too bad of a cliffhanger but it still has me desperate for the next one!
