The Gate Thief by Orson Scott Card
4.0
Interesting book/concept. I do enjoy how Card ties existing lores and religions into the background of this story. Especially when you find out that the Belmage is Satan himself.
I do think it is a tad unrealistic that he has no least four high school girls clamoring over him to bear his child. I understand that for all intents and purposes, he is a god, but that seems a stretch. Also, these high school characters discuss sex much more often than I think people normally would, or I'm just really naive/sheltered. Anyway, Card is a bit of a pervert.
I also like how the story is continued with Wad. It reminds the reader that this isn't the only world involved.
Overall, an enjoyable read. I think what has me interested is my curiosity about how everything will end.
