Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

1.0

Absolutely terrible: the characters were flat (especially the side characters); the dialogue was unrealistic (no one talks like that, especially teenagers); the plot was ridiculous (some pretty screwed up "twists" at the end); and the author tried way too hard to make the main character seem cool when in reality, she just sounded absurd. The "romance" was awkward to read because there was so little, yet the characters seemed to be in love. And overall, the characters' actions were unrealistic. There was a character death that I felt was thrown in just to some "emotional depth" to it, but it failed at that.
