Where do I even start??
The idea for the book isn't anything new, it has been done before. The writing is... okayish. Maybe I'm being a little unfair since I read it in Polish and there were lots of awkwar sentences. The pacing is fucked, though. Good lord. I felt like I was sprinting, then I was forcibly stopped and had to crawl just to start the sprint again.
The FMC was just forgettable.I don't buy her motivation to help everyone. She was cursed as a child, always pushed aside, unable to be loved. And she's just what?? Such a good, kind hearted person she helps everyone even those who don't deserve it? There's not enough motivation for that kind of behavior. Not to mention the instant trust she has for Hades lol. Also, I don't buy their relationship at all. It was meh. Hades as the MMC was meh as well. Didn't do anything for me. The sex scene might as well not been there, I skipped it while cringing. Ooh, and Boone. Was I supposed to cry after him? The FMC talked to him twice before he was forced on us as the person she loves as a friend while they only interacted in passing cause she "pushed everyone away" according to him. All in all, I read it but I will forget about this book tomorrow morning.
This could have been good, but it's lacking in a lot of areas to truly say I enjoyed it.
