I'm honestly not sure why I didn't really like this book as much the first time. Guess it has to have something to do with my (and probably everyones) favorite character of this series, Tyrion, being not present in this book. Well I really enjoyed this book on my reread and I know this might sound crazy but it might now be my 2nd favorite ASOIF book beating out A Clash of Kings. And this has one main reason: Cersei!

Man, did I enjoy reading about this evil, manipulative bitch of a person and her constant scheming this time around. Guess she is my second favorite character now and this is absolutely her book!

The only thing I disliked is everything surrounding the Ironborn. These people just don't click with me. But this is just a comparatively small part of the book.

But yeah I just bumped this book up by a whole star and this was a really pleasant surprise. ;)
