Unforgiven is the fifth book in the Deep Ops series. Although this one could technically be read as a stand alone you are going to have a bunch of spoilers to the previous books, so I recommend you read them in order.
Jethro Hanson is former MI6, but he's left that life behind for the academic pursuits. As a Professor of Philosophy he's working to answer that she is question, good vs evil.
