Summer At Mount Hope is the book I can always count on to return to when I’m in a reading slump. I love it. It feels much like Little Women meets Pride and Prejudice but on a much smaller, Australian scale. It’s funny, as you would expect from Rosalie Ham, charming, at times reflective, but always incredibly immersive. You never forget where you are and the setting makes the story all the more fun to read. If you’re looking for a witty rom-com that feels like a warm summer afternoon, I can’t recommend Summer At Mount Hope highly enough.
