I started reading this comic because of the horror aspect but I ended up staying for the relationships between Walter and his friends. The story kinda reminds me of fledgling by octavia butler? You have a supernatural creature having relationships with regular humans that has benefits but the relationship is inherently unbalanced due to the nature of it. Also how Walter manipulates his friends in a way that is disturbing but is normal to him. The various reactions were pretty exciting and I want to know so much more about these characters and how they interact.

I really love the flashback portions of the relationships with all the friends and Walter because it does a good job of capturing genuine conversations between friends and acquaintances. Seeing how his friends see him and see all his quirks that are because he's an alien but also because he's an awkward teenage guy who's in a queer friend group?

The art and colors and gorgeous and really add to the surrealism and horror of what the characters are experiencing. I also love how the detail on the face is almost always blurred because it feels like we as the audience are seeing these characters through's Walter's perspective.

The only major issue I have were that there were multiple pages that it was hard to read and see what direction I should be reading in. I love experimental layouts but I think these ones could have been planned a bit differently so it wouldn't be so difficult to read.
