it started off very strong and i loved the writing style but once i got towards the middle of the book, i was getting bored. there wasn’t much conflict because the main character would be in danger or come across danger and it was so easy for her to get through it. like her victory was handed to her. it also annoyed me how much detail was given on what the characters were wearing but when it came to the action, the detail lacked. if you were drinking and had to take a shot every time the author brought up ‘brocade’ you’d have alcohol poisoning. the ending was cool though but this book would be better if it was shorter and gave detail to the right areas.
