This book was a really rough read in terms of characters, story and pace. All of the characters were u likeable except for one (Padma) who rarely appeared. The main character got on my nerves so much with his idea that everything and anything that happens revolves around him. I did not enjoy this at all except for a few chapters and will definitely not read another book by this author. He jumps between the past and the present so much, changes the names of characters all the time and introduces so many new characters that the plot is super hard to follow. Also, if you do not know much about India and its history this book will be even more confusing.
