This was an interesting read. I liked the warring sides of Calec, the son of a witch of the woods or the holy knight for the kingdom.
Calec is very witty and his way with words served him well throughtout his entire life but especially as he tries to uncover what is behind the plague that is tormenting the kingdom.
I really liked all the memories of Calec's childhood in the woods and all the herbs and sigils they use. I think that is really neat.
I can't wait to see how this series continues.
