Little Peach by Peggy Kern

Heartbreaking. Intense. A little too real.

Those are the only words I can use to describe Little Peach. If you've ever wondered about human trafficking or the sex trade in the US, this book will give you a fictionalized first-hand look into the minds of these (mostly) young girls.

The abuse itself is not overly detailed, other than hands on her buttocks or tongues pushing into her mouth. We only see Michelle's mind shut down as she begs the men to stop, and we see the aftermath - the bruises, the blood, the self-hatred. For this reason, I believe it is an appropriate book for young adults, for they are the ones who have the power to make a difference in the future.

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
