Harari is one of the most insightful thinkers of our time in my opinion. I’ve read all of his works and they seem to come right on time! This book was really helpful with navigating the culture around AI. As someone who has a huge distrust in it, I feel like my suspicions are validated. This isn’t essentially the doomsday book as the title and certain chapters would imply but it certainly emphasizes the correlation with new technologies and human nature in general. With a strong focus on the past it highlights the potential of the dangers of a new technology in the future. At points some of the passages are long winded and read like a textbook but others are so intense you can’t look away.
