This is probably one of the weirdest books I've read. It mixes fantasy with the reality and the timeline is not so well defined, even though there are some good elements that may tell you when it happens.
I definetly recommend this book. I actually hated it the first time I read it, but I wasn't indifferent to it. It's a very complex narrative with a lot of literary experiments that really should be taken into account.
The story has many symbols and metaphors that can be quite ambiguous and have a lot of meanings and that's what makes this particular book so interesting.
