[UPDATE 1/30/2024: Finished taking the spouse through this one, and it's still a whimsical load of fun~.]
Listen, I'm not going to sit here and spoil this book for you, I'm just going to tell you that I highly, highly, highly recommend everyone give this book a chance. It's so full of magical whimsy and it really scratches that itch in the best way. It reminded me of being a child and reading Roald Dahl again, and I loved every second of it! I love the characters and I want more of this world, and more of them. As this is a middle grade, I absolutely recommend it as well for readers ages ten and up, and I'm very tempted to buy another copy or two to gift to my nieces and nephews. And I just want to say a thank-you to the author for giving us all such a fun, magical little story that made me feel like a kid again. One Day With Miss Penderly is an absolute treasure.
