Book of the Dead: AESLI-00 by V.E.S. Pullen

4.0

This is one of the most original RH books I’ve read in a good while!

I loved the fact that this was a high school aged MC with a slightly older harem. All the guys were interesting, lovable and funny, but still reading like 20 year olds (so immature at times).

Then we have Azzie, our heroine. First of all, I love her name! She’s vulnerable but tough, and I adored her sarcasm. I thought she was so well written, I could feel everything she was going through. And I loved that she didn’t just fall into the arms of her harem.

I really liked the multiple POVs! I think it just add a lot of depth into a story to be able to read from all POVs. I enjoyed the fact that the book had some more heavy hitting plot points, but I though it was balanced out well with the characters banter and sarcasm.

I do think the writing was a bit drawn out at times, the author can be a bit verbose. But still a great book!
