The most interesting character is Dava Shastri herself (obviously). She makes a great character for a book with a very rich inner world and thoughts, but as a mother you can see how she is distant from her children. It’s interesting bc it she has a very conflicting nature where she’s private and keeps things separate and compartmentalized, while still having deep emotions but hiding it or not acting on it. Good but hmmm, does it have a strong impact?
