Last Call by Jennifer Schmidt

I am always looking for fun, interesting and unique contemporary books. For some reason, unique plotlines are a lot harder to come by in contemporary books. (at least the in the ones I have been reading- leave me suggestions if you think I am flat our wrong)Last Call, however, was pretty unique and certainly a fun read.

I really enjoyed it. I loved how strong the main character was. Novalee didn't take anything from anyone. She was a bit too closed off at times, but that was completely understandable because of her past. I really enjoyed this story. As I was reading, I kept wondering how things were going to turn out. It could have gone in very different directions. And the cool thing is that each of the different paths would have been believable. I liked that the book kept you guessing.

Last call is a really fluid read. It just flows right along- I had no problem reading it really quickly. I enjoyed the story. I would have been really mad at Dean, and I honestly don't even know what I would have done if I was in her shoes. But I will tell you think- the two of them do take one hell of a journey together ;) They certainly had a lot of heat. Last Call is a good read.
