Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

"Beautiful but deadly, remember?"
3.5 STARS
WOW. I love the magical world-building and the Persian folklore. I didn't getting sleeping beauty vibes like the Goodreads article said there was. It's such a beautiful story that it feels like the ending so rushed. I think the book definitely could have been longer like it was original written that way but the publisher cut out chapters. Although the ending was rushed I did love the ending. Question for the author though: was Soraya deigned a Div/Pariks liaison or ambassador at the end? why would people just blindly follow her because can kill them? ISN'T THAT WHAT JUST HAPPENED WITH AZAD THOUGH? hmmmm. suspicious.
