Little Lies is going to make your heart race, make tears pool in your eyes, but most importantly - clear your schedule because this book in un-put-a-downable and will have you reading from cover to cover.
It's a coming of age tale destined between twos souls who fiercely need each other, but fall in love before they know what that word means. Their codependency is so intense they don't understand it, nor do they know how to handle it, which becomes their downfall before they even have a chance at breaking out of childhood. Lavender and Kodiak's story is truly going to melt every emotion and keep you riveted until the very last page.
At a tender age, both Kodiak and Lavender know that words hurt and destroy. Lavender doesn't always find her words, they get stuck inside her, which causes her anxiety to get worse. Kody has trouble turning off the words that constantly run through his mind making his anxiety worse. Each of them has a monster living inside of their head and that monster is a link that bonds them closer than Lavender is to her twin River.
This bond is a catalyst to everything right and also everything wrong in both of their lives. It begins a multitude of little lies that cut over and over again until the emotional wounds become so deep there is hardly any life left between them. How can they ever repair what is so damaged?

Little Lies is absolute perfection. It not only highlights a condition that affects so many people, but I love that Helena showcases how anxiety affects people differently. It's not a "one size fits all" emotion or cure and Kody and Lav are continual works in progress that demonstrate this.
Fans of Pucked and All In are going to love all of the children referenced in this book, but even if this is your first time jumping into a Hunting book, Little Lies can be read as a complete standalone. This is an entirely new generation that is beautifully crafted so you will not be lost stepping in learning new characters.
