This fell flat for compared to Divine Rivals. There were characters who felt abandoned and the introduction of others who felt unnecessary. The Dacre takedown felt very underwhelming and Enva was also underwhelming. Ross has a good concept but i feel like there was overwriting to make this story into 2 books when it could have been just one long standalone which I feel would have been stronger.
