Ripple: A Tale of Hope and Redemption
by E.L. Farris
Ripple is not normally the kind of book that I would read. I tend to keep my novel choices light and while this book had moments of levity, the underlying intensity of the subject matter was ever-present.
What I am taking away from this book though are two things: appreciation for a well-written, well-crafted story and a message of light in seeming perpetual darkness. Even when my heart was breaking for some of the characters of Ripple, I could sense Farris's intention that all would be well. It kept me going and I'm so glad I did.
Emotional, dark and yet utterly moving, Ripple will keep you gripped from start to finish and make you hope for the kind of deliverance the author portrays in this work of fiction to truly exist.
