4.0

Representation: Blind Heroine

Note: Blind Fate can be read as a Standalone as the prologue is a brief summary of what happened in the previous book (easily skippable if you read the previous book). But, since the series is connected by an overarching plot – taking down the Veredian slavery ring/enterprise introduce in the first book, it's best to read the series in order.

Safety Rating: Safe with Exceptions

• No cheating
• No OW/OM drama
• Does have the Hero pushing the Heroine away
– The Hero disavows the Heroine after learning of her mind control/reading ability from someone else. He feels betrayed.
• No separation

Possible Triggers: Yes

• Heroine is enslaved during most of the book
• Heroine nonconsensual manipulates the brains of other enslaved women
• Heroine nonconsensually mind controls the Hero's father
• Heroine nonconsensually reads the Hero's mind (and the mind of other supporting characters)
• Miscarriage (on-page)
• Gore
• Abduction and kidnapping (of an infant)
• Forced scientific experimentation (blood and saliva tests) (on-page)
• Hero and Heroine are forced to have sex with each other during captivity
• Gun violence
• Medical trauma (including being burnt alive from a bomb) (aftermath is on-page)

Ending:
HEA because the MCs are married and have twins on the way. But considering the overarching plot isn't wrapped up, it felt more like an HFN. Especially after seeing what this book had in store for the main characters of the previous book in the series, Escaping Fate.
