Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle
5.0
Wasn't a book I normally would have picked up. I have quite a bit of reglious trauma and don't always want to subject myself to it.
However, Camp Damascus was full of humor, found family, gray areas of love, and a lot of Peter Pan inspirations that I really ate up. Also, how can you not love/hate creepy smiling demons that appear in your prefereals? The visuals in this book are some of my favorites I've ever read.
Surprisingly funny, with supporting characters I loved, and a lot of one-liners that really stuck with me. This is my first read from Chuck Tingle, even though I am already very familiar with his work. Definitely going to be giving other books a try!
