This was a world wind of emotions… it’s been a very long time since a book has made me cry out in actual anguish and sympathy for characters.
Cecilia will never be a character I am fond of by any means. Even in the time that has lapsed, she still feels aimless and unrelatable. As much as she wants to portray she is not the naive little girl everyone assumes her to be she still acts like one.
The men however… Sean, Dominic, Tobias…. My heart s swept up in the pure love, lust, chaos, peace and brokenness they all share. It’s hard to watch the contents of this story unfold because you’re routing they all get their happily ever after but I guess in a strange way they each get what they are truly after.
This book broke my heart and I fear there is nothing that can be done in book three to fix the hurt I have been dragged through. I will see it to the end because I need at least a false sense of hope that there is closure and peace for this trauma. I would give anything for a rainy day.
Favorite Quotes:
“You were the first goddamn person I thought of every morning and the only woman I have ever dreamed about. And if you would have waited for me, I would have given you the opposite of nothing.” 😭
“We love rainy days, don’t we, baby?” ⛈️
“And you were right, you’ve always had the heart of a queen, but you have to know, earning your love will be the only thing that will make me a king.” ♟️
