Building a Future by Amy Clipston

4.0

I enjoyed this one! Not quite as much as the first one, but it was still good. Still had the heart squeeze as I wanted them to finally work it out in the end! I really appreciate a book with good tension, and this one built it up pretty well.

It did feel a little off to me that the first one was about grown adults but this one was about younger adults. They're still adults, but they're the children of the adults, so they felt more like kids to me. Especially with the way one of the brothers acts. He's a complete child.

Speaking of that brother though... His turnout didn't feel fleshed out enough. That part felt a bit rushed and fairly unbelievable. I didn't quite buy it, but I'm glad it all worked out in the end.

I will definitely continue this series and check out her other Amish books!
