Brie thought that she was safe, that she had made the right choice, but she may not be as correct in her decisions as thought. She finds herself caught between 2 fae men, in the middle of a battle to save the fae kingdoms. With so much to learn and so much on the line will Brie be able to figure out who she is and what needs to be done to save the kingdoms?

I cannot express enough how happy I am that my library has 2 ways of taking out audio books. After finishing These Hollow Vows  I did not want to have to wait to listen to the second book but the wait on Libby was going to be about 4 weeks. Thankfully hoopla had it and it was available right away. While I am thrilled I did not have to wait I will say that I am sad that I am done with this duology. I loved every single minute of listening and I know I will be back to listen again in the future.

Brie continues to be an absolutely incredible FMC. I loved how she continued to grow and become more sure of herself. I felt that she was really able to get a better understanding of who she was and who she wanted herself to be in the future. I will be honest there were times that I did not agree with decisions or choices that she was making and it caused me to yell at my car or in my kitchen because I wanted her to see what I thought was happening.

I loved the continued world building. Lexi took what she started building and continued to develop more and build in new locations. I also enjoyed that there were not a ton of additional characters added in this book. I liked that the few that were added made sense and really added to the story that was already being told. Misha was definitely my favorite add on and I loved the comic relief that he brought at certain times.

My love of Finn continued throughout this series. I felt that he was a good guy that was just not fully understood by others. Finn’s character was just a good balance for Brie’s character and they brought more out of one another. Ronan on the other hand, I struggled with his character throughout. I felt that he tried to manipulate everything to work out the way he wanted.

Casey Holloway continues to do an incredible job of narrating this series. I loved that it was the same narrator throughout, to me it allows my thinking to stay in the same area and makes the books all feel like a continuation. The pace was fast and the chapters varied in length. I was engaged fully from the first chapter and even when I was not happy with what was happening I still wanted to listen. I will say that I loved the ending and almost wish that I could have had just a couple of more chapters.
