Surprisingly, I like this story more than I thought I would be. Due to the mixed reviews, I didn’t expect I would like it. Though, I understand why it has mixed reviews.

My favorite thing about this story is Nikolai’s contradictory feelings. There’s a battle between his love for Daisy and his responsibility. The way Daisy deals with it are good too. She makes him confident in their love.

One of the things that I noticed is the meeting between Nikolai and Daisy is a little bit cliche. Too good to be true. I know they fall in love at first sight, but it’s too convenient for my taste. Next, Daisy is oblivious to Nikolai’s job, even though he talks about it briefly. But I’m not bothered by this. Last, how unfortunate life is for Regan. I don’t want to spill anything, but it’s a bad coincidence that brings her tragedy.
