Man what an absolute epic end to this story. We picked up right where we left off in book one (highly recommend refreshing yourself where it ended). I did not do this and it took me a minute to remember what happened at the end of book one.
The Silent Son is told through multiple POVs and I loved the weaving of storylines. Alexis did a wonderful job of building up this world and I am so sad for it to be ending. Ailsa is such a badass character and I loved how she never backed down from the challenges she faced. Vali felt like such a well rounded character in this book. His love for Ailsa while on a quest for vengeance? Chefs kiss.
Highly recommend this duology if you are a fan of Norse mythology. It was unique and well written, with this book by far being her best work. I can’t wait to read whatever comes next!
