Dangerous Minds by Janet Evanovich

4.0

Reread: (2022)I'm bumping this up to four stars. I enjoyed it a lot more this time.

Original Review: (2018)

Cute. Probably make a great movie.

All in all, I was disappointed. Emerson is still charmingly eccentric, Riley still kicks butt, and Vernon is...well Vernon. They find themselves embroiled in a conspiracy theory that only someone as outrageous as Emerson could possibly stumble across.

I loved the first book in this series, the first book by Evanovich that’s captured my interest since I stopped reading the Plum series. I was really excited for this book. I can’t quite put my finger on why this one missed the mark. I kept putting it down after reading a few pages and had to force myself to finish.

This book wasn’t co-written like the first. Maybe what Dangerous Minds needed was Phoef Sutton. I hope she returns for any future releases.
