I'm kinda in love with this series? As a kid, I had an idea to write a series of short stories that exist as folk tales and fairy tales from the same fantasy world, that would both tell a cute story and reveal more of the world around the narrator. These novellas kinda fit that idea, but pull it off so goddamn well. I could have never crafted something this good. The story changes both between narrators and over time, with man and tiger asking themselves why it changed that way and where the truth lies. It's so fascinating, and I think for that reason I like this one better than the first book. Which is impressive considering how I read that one twice in a row because of how much I liked it.
