Shoot Your Shot by Hannah Gray

5.0

What an emotional yet beautiful story of a marriage in crisis, and a man willing to do anything to get his wife back. The love Kolt and Paige had for one another was radiating through every word on every page, even when they were separated. They are the definition of soulmates on such a deep level, truly each other's person for life.

Kolt genuinely thought he was doing what was best for Paige and her future by pushing her away after getting devastating news, and became a shell of himself without her. She struggled without Kolt as well, but pushed through her heartbreak and tried to rebuild her life without him.

When Kolt suffers a medical emergency, and Paige rushes to his side, these two move heaven and earth to find their way back to one another. They push through pain and heartbreak, and finally open up to each other about their struggles, miscommunications and dreams for the future that they both desperately want, but only with the other by their side. Their infertility struggles were handled in such a delicate and beautiful manner and I appreciate the care that Hannah Gray put into writing such a sensitive topic.

I love the found family that the Sharks form around this couple because everyone sees that they are are only whole together.

This was my first read by Hannah Gray and I cannot wait to read more of her work. I've already ordered book 1, Tell Me Lies to get caught up on this series, as well as a copy of Shoot Your Shot because this is a story I know I will want to revisit. I'm very much looking forward to book 3, Fool Me Once.
