I really enjoyed this tense drama about a hockey town that faces a moral and serious crime. I am not usually one for sports books and culture (I loathe the phrase “boys club” or “boys will be boys”) but this book truly shows how ingrained sports can be in a small town.

Throughout the whole book you are waiting for some of these grown ups to take accountability and make actions have consequences. Some aspects of the book are frustrating as the mentality behind winning the game comes before doing what is morally right!

I appreciated the multiple points of view that added a depth to the story.
