House of the Sleeping Beauties and Other Stories by Yasunari Kawabata

1.0

(Review based in my own opinion).

Okay. I wish I could give 0 stars to this thing book. I'm going to state right now that I'm not usually attracted to erotic writings (even though I'm currently trying to read a New Adult novel right now), but I had to read this for class. It was a short book, so I thought I wouldn't care.
Wrong.
I care.
All I can say about the book is everything in it is Wrong, with capital W. It's a book about a 67-years-old man sleeping naked with drugged-and-naked women, one of those is a 16-year-old girl. Oh, c'mon. You've got to be kidding me with this. (SPOILERSPOILER: And he actually kisses the girl? Like, seriously? YOU ARE 67, for God's sake).

I'll just leave this here. I felt the writing was nothing special, the story was boring and discusting, the main character wasn't interesting whatsoever and this is most probably the last Japanese book I'm reading this year.
