Despite its lengh, the story was easy to follow and interesting, mostly due to the character interactions. This may be a weird critique but I wish the murders happened a bit later on. They happen very early in the book, earlier than you would expect and after Raskolnikov recovered from his delirium, he didn't really seem to care that much about what he had done and the rest of the book is about completely separate things to the "crime." And the "punishment" part wasn't that severe either
